![]() This is a time set aside for our men to come closer and sharpen their faith through sharing, testimony and a challenge from the Pastor. We will be partaking together a hearty breakfast at the fellowship hall starting this Saturday, October 4 at 8:00 AM. Fellowship is important in our Christian life. It was a nice and beautiful day today. Weather temperature was at upper 70s but with a cool breeze all throughout past 3 o'clock in the afternoon. The food was great, fellowship and sharing with one another are at their best. Thank you so much to the Gaylor family for once again letting us use their property and even had their horses rode by kids and even by pastors. The pie baking contest winners will be announced on Sunday. Click here to see more pictures. Steadfastly we continued the conference with still much anticipation. Missionary Samuel Owens shared his burden for the people of Indonesia, how the Lord called him into the ministry at the age of fifteen and how the Lord orchestrated his life serving in his Dad's home church for the preparation to all these. He was married to Yohanna who is an Indonesian and were blessed with three beautiful children. Continue to pray for them in their deputation as they raise their support. Pastor Nance challenge is taken from the book of Psalms 78. Can God? God can! All of us left with hearts filed of joy tonight. Praise God for this gathering. We have three family missionaries with us this year, the Leonards, Adams and the Owens. Highlights of the evening were, Harvest youngsters offered bags of gifts meant for each of the missionary kids. The gifts are from our own members that have a heart for these travelling missionary kids. It is a joy to see their faces, we are blessed. We were inspired by the Leonard family singing the specials. Missionary Chuck Leonard reported on his current mission. He showed photo slides of the faces of the people of Ukraine. They are fruit of our missions, as we have invested on the Leonard's ministry. Pastor Kerry Nance of Southside Baptist Church gave a powerful opening message from the book of Acts Chapter 4. He has a very good gift in vividly painting God's word through his sermons. The refreshments at the fellowship hall after the service gave extra time for our folks to chat with the missionaries to hopefully get a glimpse of their burden. They are no extraordinary people, they are just like us but we invest on their God given ability to go to foreign lands to win souls for Christ in our behalf. Click here to see more pictures. |
