![]() Upon graduation, Pastor Moore joined the US Navy, serving for 15 years and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. During a tour to Iceland, he and his wife Bonnie along with their two daughters began attending the base chapel. The Lord was beginning to show them the need of salvation. Upon returning to the States, they began attending Berean Baptist Church in Orange Park, FL and were both saved. The Lord began leading Pastor Moore into full time ministry. He began taking night courses at Trinity Baptist College. It was this time that God led him to leave the Navy and serve Him full time. He served at Clay Baptist Church in Orange Park, FL as Youth Pastor and Music Director for 4 1/2 years. He then served at First Baptist Church of Gibsonton, FL sat the same capacity. In Gibsonton, the Lord began to move his heart to pastor and eventually lead him to Calvary Baptist Church in Mannington, WV. He served there for nine years as the Lord blessed the ministry. Dr. Gene Burge recommended Pastor Moore to Harvest Baptist Church in 1996. The Lord led him to accept the call and became the fourth pastor of Harvest in October of that year. The early years were full of challenges and blessings. Looking back over the past twenty years, there have been times the Lord granted blessings beyond what was thought possible and there have been times when the devil fought back. Pastor Moore is thankful for the privilege to be the shepherd of this great church and believes the best days is still ahead.
